I am so blessed to have found that sweet spot in life… where my favorite things come together to be used for God’s glory.  Children delight me, music captivates me, and I love teaching in a Christian environment that encourages students to use their gifts to honor God.

My teaching began in college where I was a music scholarship recipient for flute performance.  After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I began teaching private lessons and also started my own business, a group music experience for families.  I grew up in a home where music was fun, and that is the environment I want to create for my students.  Not only is music a life-long, entertaining hobby, but fluency in music also opens the mind to improved mathematical reasoning, hand-eye coordination, and self-expression.  There is so much to love about music!  I believe that fun in a structured environment is the best combination for a child’s musical growth.

Teaching for over ten years has been very rewarding, and God has also blessed me with an incredible family.  My athletic husband can carry a tune, and our two energetic children entertain us every day with their perspectives on life.  Our free time is often spent together exploring outside, playing games, trying to out-joke each other, playing music, and monkeying around with friends.  I am thrilled to teach alongside the exceptional teachers at PCA and look forward to discovering the precious personalities that fill our classrooms each year.
