I was born in Alberta and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Toward the end of college, I studied abroad in France which led to my career decision: teaching! I enjoy baking, hiking, backpacking, all snow-related activities, and traveling the world.
Before I came to PCA in 2013, I taught multi-grades in the Eastern Sierras. Students enjoy project-based science and social studies units, interactive math lessons (math is my favorite!), language arts publications, and technology-enhanced learning in my classroom. Other exciting sixth grade experiences include Science iMovie Red Carpet Event, Radical Reading Day, Outdoor/Snow School, Reading Buddies, the ME Book, the Magazine Stand, and so much more!
A highlight from my time at PCA has been the development and growth of our service initiative: Beyond PCA. Beyond PCA fosters relationships within our school family (Family Groups and Big/Little Sister/Brother program) and seeks for opportunities to reach our Spokane community. It is my desire for each of my students to experience a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to discover an appreciation for learning, and to become service-minded and kind young people.
