Bio: Heather Benado

I am a Walla Walla University graduate with my B.S. in Elementary Education, and a minor in Early Childhood Education. My first teaching position was spent in a multi-grade level classroom of 3-5th graders in the Seattle area from 2000-2002.  I moved out of the area to marry my husband and that next year I had a long-term substitute job in the Vancouver, WA area.

God blessed me by allowing me to stay home for 9 years and be a mom to our three children.  I have substitute taught off and on throughout those years.  But when my youngest started Kindergarten in 2013, I went back to teaching almost full time in grades K-6. I have had a wonderful school family at Lincoln Heights Elementary where I have been one of their primary substitute teachers.

My family and I have been a part of the Spokane South Hill Adventist Church family since 2005 and are thrilled to now be a part of the PCA family as well.  I am so excited to be back in my own classroom full time. The best part for me will be that I can pray and share the love of Jesus with them daily. I promise to love your child and help them grow academically, spiritually, and socially.

One of my favorite verses is: “He who loves is fulfilling God’s law…The other commandments can be summarized in one statement: Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Love doesn’t do things to hurt others. That’s why love fulfills all the requirements of God’s law.” Romans 13: 8-10
