Credentials: 30+ years in financial and office management

Since 2000 my career life has been, by far, the most rewarding of over 30 years in financial / office management work.  In 2000 my husband and I moved to Spokane from California to be near grandchildren and I went to work for Spokane Junior Academy as the Secretary/Treasurer.  Being on the team of a group of people who have dedicated their lives to the education and training of children to be good citizens of this world and, more importantly, God’s eternal world is an honor and privilege above any I can think of.  In 2009 I “semi-retired” and accepted the part-time position of Treasurer.  My prayer is that I will be used of Jesus to bless the families of our school in any way He opens to me.

Before coming to PCA (SJA) I worked for Butte County, California as the accountant for the Public Guardian/Public Administrator’s office.  For a short 3 years in the early 90s I tried something “completely out of my field” and enjoyed it very much!!  I served as Food Service Director at Leone Meadows Camp & Retreat Center in northern California.  After leaving Leone, my neighbor and I in Paradise, California operated a payroll/accounting business for a few years.  The balance of my work career was in dental clinic practice management in Tri-Cities and Chehalis, Washington and keeping the books for my husband’s businesses.

We have 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren.  I enjoy family and church time, gardening, going for walks, reading, traveling, and training my little teacup poodle, Annie, to be a therapy dog to visit in children’s hospitals and nursing homes.
