Hello! My name is Kenny Johnston and I am both excited and honored that I have been given the opportunity to teach at Palisades Christian Academy!
I graduated from Walla Walla University with a B.A. in History and Secondary Educational Certification with minors in English and Psychology in 2016. After my Sophomore year at WWU, I decided to spend 2012 as a student missionary on the island of Pohnpei Micronesia, where I taught the 7th grade and coached multiple school teams. Returning from Pohnpei in 2013, I switched my major to History and decided to pursue a Secondary Educational Certification. I have no doubt that God blessed my experience in Pohnpei, which greatly influenced my decision to pursue a career in education. I am excited for the school year to begin as I am looking forward to discovering what God has in store alongside the students.
Favorite Verse: “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
